Lalamove Extends Support to Cebu LGUs, Delivering Crucial Relief Goods Amid Earthquake Crisis
When Northern Cebu was shaken by the recent earthquakes, Lalamove didn’t just move fast they moved with purpose. The leading on-demand delivery platform rolled out a month-long relief effort, proving once again that real community spirit comes from showing up when it matters most.
Teaming up with powerhouse partners like Cebu People’s Action Center, Philippine Red Cross, and Kaabag Mandaue, Lalamove delivered support straight to the LGUs of Bogo City, Tuburan, and San Remigio. True to their mission, they mobilized trucks and motorcycles packed with essentials blankets, sleeping mats, bottled water, food packs, and medical supplies giving hope a much-needed ride to the communities that needed it most.
Djon Nacario, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines, shared that Lalamove has always been ready to step in when crises strike:
“Since we are already present in the province, we acted swiftly and reached out to relevant stakeholders to help with their relief efforts in areas that needed immediate attention.”
The help didn’t go unnoticed.
“We lacked vehicles to reach the affected communities — but Lalamove stepped in and offered their trucks so we could deliver aid where it was urgently needed,” said Ruben Licera Jr., Cebu Provincial Head for Special Projects and Executive Director of Cebu People’s Action Center.
