A day of kindness, hugs, and heart for Cebuano patients and frontliners
Cebu City, Philippines Christmas always hits different in Cebu, and this year, foodpanda made it even more meaningful by turning its We Gotchu holiday promise into real moments of joy through Pasko Na, We Gotchu: Christmas PANDAriwang. The team, together with volunteers, riders, and everyone’s favorite Pau-Pau, spent a day spreading comfort and cheer to patients and frontliners at Cebu City Medical Center.
Known for serving thousands of Cebuanos especially after recent calamities CCMC has always been a symbol of resilience. So instead of grand events or glittery lights, foodpanda brought the warmth of the season straight to the wards. Volunteers handed out fruit baskets to patients, while partner riders delivered hundreds of ready to eat meals to both the staff and those under their care. Younger patients also received adorable plushies small surprises that lit up the room with genuine smiles.
But the visit wasn’t just for patients. It was also a heartfelt “thank you” to doctors, nurses, security personnel, and hospital staff who show up every single day, even during the busiest weeks of the year. Warm meals were shared as tokens of gratitude for their dedication, compassion, and quiet heroism.
To complete the PANDAriwang magic, Pau-Pau went room to room, greeting everyone with waves, hugs, and that signature cuteness we all love. Everywhere Pau-Pau went, the hallways softened, the atmosphere brightened, and the holiday spirit felt a little more alive.
