I’m very excited to see our student athletes from across the country competing in this year’s Palarong Pambansa. Pilipino, ipakita mo ang Galing DITO! DITO Telecommunity is championing homegrown athletes at the biggest sports event of the year in Cebu City.

As a proud co-presenter of Palarong Pambansa 2024, DITO is partnering with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the local government of Cebu City to celebrate the amazing skills of young athletes as they compete in various events.
Since 1948, Palarong Pambansa has brought together young athletes from all over the Philippines. This year’s event will feature 12,000 athletes, coaches, and officials competing in 22 regular sports, one demonstration sport, and four Para Games. Exciting new additions this year include dance sports as a regular event and the participation of athletes from the National Academy of Sports and Philippine Schools Overseas. The games will be held in Cebu City from July 11 to 15, 2024.
Celebrating Skill, Determination, and Diversity
Palarong Pambansa showcases the skills, determination, and sportsmanship of young athletes. This year’s theme, “Beyond Sports,” focuses on the holistic development of athletes in both sports and education, while also strengthening the bonds among athletes, their families, and peers—goals that DITO fully supports.
“We at DITO are committed to building a stronger, progressive nation,” said Evelyn Jimenez, Chief Revenue Officer for Consumer Business. “Aligned with our GalingDITO campaign, we want to recognize undiscovered talents, champion diversity, and empower more Filipinos to showcase their ‘Galing.’ The Philippines is rich in natural resources, cultural heritage, and homegrown talents, and we aim to highlight Filipino talent and excellence, especially among the incredibly talented and spirited young athletes from every corner of the Philippines,” Jimenez added.
More than the gold medals, DITO sees the unity and talent showcased as the bigger achievement of events like these. “The talent and perseverance of every young Filipino athlete contribute to their personal achievements, but collectively, they help shape a narrative of unity that will positively influence our nation,” added Ms. Jimenez.
As a co-presenter of Palarong Pambansa 2024, DITO will join DepEd, the Cebu City community, and its officials, along with the athletes, their families, coaches, and trainers, at the Opening Ceremony on July 9, 2024, at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Exciting activities and exclusive freebies will also be available at the GalingDITO Booths. To ramp up for Palarong Pambansa 2024, the highly sought-after Pinoy pop boy group ALAMAT, who are GalingDITO Ambassadors, will have a fan meet on July 7, 2024, at SM City Cebu.
