With my current lifestyle which is I’m very mobile and on the go being sick is a big no no. Aside from I usually travel and meet clients. It’s a bit hassle to look for a doctor who’s always available when the times you feel sick. I know it’s very costly and time consuming but we have to deal with it.

Good thing I found this app called MyPocketDoctor Philippines, the nation’s first telemedicine platform to provide doctor consultations anytime/anywhere (on demand) via phone or the Internet. With unlimited consultations for an annual fee of P900 for one person, or P1995 for one adult and two dependents. Here’s an easy step on how it works.

Request for Consultation

Click the “Talk to a Medical Doctor” button to request for consultation. Then you have to fill out the needed information regarding your health concern. When done, one of their nurses will call you to ask for other needed information. And after a few minutes, you’ll receive another call which is now from the assigned physician to assess your symptoms. The physician will then prescribe medication, orders laboratory tests (if needed), makes a referral, or prescribes another mode of treatment if the case requires.

That quick and easy! Actually I got to use my one time coupon and it’s very helpful. Aside from it’s very mobile I can have my consultation anywhere and anytime without the hassle of heading to the clinic for check-up. Plus, the nurse is very kind in giving instructions. The doctor calls in right away when the nurse hang-up and then told him my concerns. That time I consulted for my sore throat which I’m experiencing for days now.

Currently, MyPocketDoctor has about 50 practitioners with at least three years’ experience in various fields of medicine on board. They have specialists in occupational medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, otorhinolaryngology, pediatrics and family medicine, among others. So they are proven legit.

This flagship service has partnered with financial services provider M. Lhuillier making it available to more Filipinos all over the world, particularly to overseas Filipino workers and their families and those in locations where doctors are not always present.
